Netherlands - 6,2% pay rise at Tata Steel - April 30, 2022

Trade unions reached an agreement with the blast furnace company Tata Steel on a new collective agreement. The new agreement will run for 18 months and includes a total pay increase of on average 6.2%. As of 1 April 2022 and 1 August 2022 gross wages will increase by €100 for all employees. On 1 April 2023, all wages will be raised by another 1.25%. Furthermore, the agreement includes the extension of the so- called Generation Pact, a new flextime schedule for office staff, a work from home allowance of €2 per day and abolishment of the youth wage scale for employees aged 18 years.
