Netherlands - 13% pay rise for IKEA staff - November 30, 2022

Furniture retailer IKEA, its employees' association WIM and the trade union FNV have reached a new collective agreement. The agreement will run from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2023. There will be a wage increase in two steps: first, as of 1 November 2022. with at least 9% and up to 11.7% for the lower pay scales. A second wage increase will follow on 1 July 2023: 4% for all employees and up to 5% for the lower pay scales. In addition, there will be a fairer remuneration policy (as of 1 June 2023). Employees can grow faster from the minimum to the maximum of their scale. Youth wages from the age of 18 will be abolished.
