Lithuania - Minimum wage to be increased - September 30, 2022

The parliament’s Social and Employment Matters Committee supported amendments to the Labour Law intended to increase the minimum wage to €620 in 2023 and €700 in 2024. For amendments to take effect, they have to be passed by the parliament in three readings. Authors of the legislative draft mention in the annotation that wages paid to residents cannot be lower than the minimum amount set by the state. The increase of the minimum wage will promote the increase of income of households.
