Latvia - Minimum wage increase - November 30, 2022

The Government has announced amendments to the Labour Law, which increases the minimum monthly salary to € 620 on 1 January 2023, the. The amendments to the Labour Law also provide for a minimum monthly salary of not less than € 700 as of 1 January 2024. According to the bill, raising the minimum wage increases household incomes and at the same time can motivate more labour market involvement, and is one of the tools for reducing the poverty of workers.
