Ireland - Government looking to opt for a new minimum wage based on the median wage - June 30, 2022

The government cabinet announced that the national minimum wage will be phased out by 2026 and replaced by a new ‘living wage’ that will be calculated annually and referenced against the median wage level. This unprecedented overhaul will require effort by companies and as such should be established on a gradual process.
