Hungary - Teachers’ unions call for strike - January 31, 2022

Two teachers’ unions (PDSZ and PSZ) organised a strike, demanding a 45% increase in basic salaries for this year. Despite the government’s promises, teachers’ basic salaries have not risen since 2014, which by now equals 17 monthly salaries the government owes to teachers.
