Germany - Strike at broadcasting company - September 30, 2022

The trade union ver.di called for protests and strikes in order to get things moving in the collective bargaining at the broadcasters NDR, WDR, SWR, BR, Radio Bremen and Saarlandischer Rundfunk, which had been hardened for months. About 1,000 broadcasters, employees and freelancers followed the call. ver.di calls for wage increases of around 6%, while the employers offer only 2.5%.
