Germany - Employers reject agreement for roofers - September 30, 2022

The employers of the Central Association of German Roofing Trades (ZVDH) told the union IG BAU that they reject the collective agreement reached a few days earlier. The agreement included a pay rise of 5% as of 1 October and a further increase by 3% in October 2023. The reason for the rejection by the employers is the announcement by the federal government of special payments of up to €3,000 as part of the third relief package. Employers say they want to remain open to talks.
