France - Collective agreement at media company and freelance journalists - May 31, 2022

After several meetings between trade unions and the management of press agency AFP, journalists’ union SNJ-CGT has decided to sign the so-called "Neighbouring rights" agreement. From now on, all journalists in the AFP network, including locals and most freelancers and workers on fixed-term contracts, will receive an annual minimum flat rate of € 275. The agency thus becomes the first media company to sign such an agreement.
