Belgium - Teachers demonstrate for better working conditions - April 30, 2022

School teachers have intensified their pending demands including higher salaries, staff recruitments, smaller classrooms and opposition to the government’s proposals to reform teachers’ evaluation. Several trade unions including the General Union of Public Services (CGSP), Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (CSC), and Free Civil Service union (SLFP), among others, were involved in strikes. Approximately 5,000 educators took part.
