Switzerland - Union reacts to airline’s planned job cuts - April 30, 2021

Trade union SEV-Gata has reacted to planned job cuts at the airline Swiss by declaring it would be incomprehensible and harmful at the moment. Swiss had announced a ‘significant downsizing of the company’, as significantly lower flight volumes are expected in the future, especially for business trips. The airline aims to downsize by 1,000 jobs by the end of the year, which should be achieved through natural departures or early retirement.
