Netherlands - Pay increase for mental health care workers - December 31, 2021

The trade unions FNV, CNV and FBZ reached an agreement with the employers’ association GGZ for the more than 100,000 employees in mental healthcare. Depending on their position and whether they work irregular shifts, employees will receive a 7% to 9% increase over a period of three years. In addition to an increase in wages and allowances, agreements have been made about a budget of EUR 500 for all age groups and the option of reducing working time four years before the statutory retirement age.
