Lithuania - Collective agreements for social and public services - December 31, 2021

Trade unions have negotiated collective agreements for workers in social services and public services. The new collective agreement in social services brings a significant increase in minimum monthly pay, from EUR 642 to EUR 730, while working hours will be cut by one hour a week. Trade union members covered by the agreement will get an extra day’s leave after 10 years’ service. In 2022, public service workers will see a 2.2% increase in the basic salary which is used to calculate specific additional salary components. Trade union members covered by the collective agreement will get two additional days’ leave for educational purposes. This means that workers can take up to 10 days of educational leave on average pay, or five days to improve their health.
