Estonia - Gender pay gap narrows - April 30, 2021

The gross hourly earnings of female employees were 15.6% lower than the earnings of male employees in 2020, and the gender pay gap decreased by 1.5 percentage points year on year, Statistics Estonia said. In 2020, the gross hourly earnings of female employees was €7.70 and the gross hourly earnings of male employees €9.13. The gap was biggest in financial and insurance activities, at 29.4%, followed by mining and quarrying, 26.1%, and information and communication, 24.1%.
