Czechia - Labour shortages are back - June 30, 2021

There were not enough skilled workers before the coronavirus already and now when the country is reopening the problem is getting worse. While unemployment expanded slightly over the last year, unemployment at the end of the first quarter stood at just 3.2%, the second lowest in the EU. The tight labour market also leads an increase in wages. In May, the average monthly wage rose by 3.2% compared to last year.
