Croatia - Shortage of skilled labour - December 31, 2021

At a meeting of the tripartite Economic and Social Council (GSV), the main topic discussed was the labour market and the shortage of skilled labour, and it was noted that greater shocks were expected on the demand side. New employment policy measures are to be announced for 2022, including a new reskilling system, financed from the national recovery and resilience plan, which will be launched on 1 April 2022. The demand of the unions for a thirteenth month of pay was rejected by the Labour Minister.
