Austria - Increasing the budget for short-time work - January 31, 2021

The government is increasing the budget for short-time work from €5 billion to €7 billion. 458,993 people are currently on short-time work. In addition, a total of 534,256 people are registered with the Public Employment Service (AMS) as unemployed or are in training. That means there are 113,000 more people unemployed than last year.
