Latvia - Minimal pension to increase in 2020 - November 30, 2019

On 13 November, Latvia’s parliament, the Saeima, approved the final reading amendments to the State Pensions Law. These amendments provide for increasing minimal retirement pension amounts in 2020. Amendments provide for using a new calculation base set by the government to calculate minimal pensions. In general cases it will be €80. For people suffering from disabilities since childhood this amount will be €122.69.
