Hungarian road haulage company Waberer's wants to offer jobs to 360 jobseekers in northeast Hungary - an area with high unemployment - if they complete a truck-driving course. Waberer's chairman-CEO György Waberer said at a press conference in Vásárosnamény that the truck-driving course for 120 potential employees would start in weeks. State secretary for employment affairs Sándor Czomba said the instruction would take place with the involvement of job centers and be supported with state funding. He added that Waberer's new drivers could start working as early as the summer. Waberer's is the road haulage leader in Central and Eastern Europe. It has 2,500 lorries and employs 4,000 people.
