Why tell this story?

We all are aware of the numbers in the news.

The Coronavirus pandemic only seems to be getting worse.

While we hear a lot of stories form all over the world, we rarely get to meet the individuals going through it.

"Masks on" is an endeavour to meet the people behind the stories.

History always repeats itself. Our greatest source of knowledge and information is our history. The collective experiences of humanity during such trying and unprecedented times tells us many a tale about hope, trust, hardship, loss and community. It's important to hold on to the people's stories and their experiences to remember a time when things were not the same.

It's easy to get caught up in our own lives. However, when we listen and understand others and their experiences, we become kinder, better and more empathetic individuals.

If this time has taught us anything, it is that, at the end of the day, everything starts from understanding, empathy and kindness.
