Minimum Wage Updates in South Africa - March 01, 2021

Minimum wages have been revised in South Africa, with effect from 01 March. The national minimum wage has increased from ZAR20.76 to ZAR21.69 for each ordinary hour worked. The sector-wise revised minimum wage with the effect of 01 March 2021 as follows:

For domestic workers who work 27 ordinary hours per week or less - Area A, from ZAR15.57 to ZAR19.09 per hour

For domestic workers who work 27 ordinary hours per week or less - Area B, from ZAR15.57 to ZAR19.09 per hour 

For domestic workers who work more than 27 ordinary hours per week - Area A, from ZAR15.57 to ZAR19.09 per hour

For domestic workers who work more than 27 ordinary hours per week - Area B, from ZAR15.57 to ZAR19.09 per hour

For farmworker ZAR18.68 to 21.69 per hour
