Ministry of Labour and Employment has completed a study on minimum wages in 12 private sector areas (private schools, construction firms, energy and industrial concerns, businesses, hotels and domestic services) and has proposed a pay rise starting July 1, 2013.
The Minister named the sectors with the increment in percentages as indicated in brackets, industries and businesses (25 per cent), hotel and home services (55.2), private security services (46.4), Mining (25.2), Health (65.2), Fishery and Marine (21.2), Transport (49) and Agriculture (42.9).
