1. NINE REASONS TO CELEBRATE IN OKTOBER

The coming eight weeks there will be official launch parties. First in Spain, UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, later in Germany, Finland, Denmark, Poland and Italy. Because the questionnaires will be up and running. We talked about it and worked day & night behind the screens for months. The national teams will do the official launches. Today we do the SOFT launch of the Paywizard- and Loonwijzer-questionnaires! You find them both at the homepages, next to the ZEBRA! www.paywizard.co.uk and www.loonwijzer.nl

. At least 20 web visitors came through the last 2 hours! No complaints so far....

Three weeks later then sceduled. Sorry, for that.

2. COALITIONS WITH MEDIA IN EUROPE

In The Netherlands there is a coalition with Monsterboard, MSN, and the biggest daily De Telegraaf. In the UK and Spain MSN shows interest in working together with www.Paywizard.co.uk end www.Tusalario.es respectively. Several other national wage indicator teams work on bringing into the coalition printed media, following the example of Poland, where the country’s biggest daily is on board, i.e. Gazeta Wyborcza (www.gazeta.pl

). In the November newsletter we hope to bring official news about what we all managed to get fixed by then with some old media GIANTS with impressive reputations.

3. WAGE INDICATORS OUTSIDE EUROPE

The Wage Indicator Foundation works on a proposal - deadline first week of November - in order to bring online next year South Africa, India, South Korea, Brasil and Mexico. You want to know more about this project? You have any suggestions or good friends out there who might be interested too? Send us an email.

And the US (Richard Freeman and his team) will be online - most probably - before the end of this year.

4. NEW IN THE VRITUAL OFFICE: DATA POLICY, STATISTICS, TIPS ANSWERING EMAIL AND TRANSLATION, MASTER QUESTIONNAIRE

You will find all details about:

 *** Our data policy. The document is a draft. Do you have comments? Send them before half of October;

*** Statistics of the website. The statistics for October are not yet available. So far only the Dutch Wage Indicators are in the statistics. But once the websites in other countries are promoted so as to attract visitors, their numbers will be reflected in the statistics too;

*** Tips for answering email and translation.

*** Masterquestionnaire, for 99 % final version.

5. SALARY CHECKERS

In July this year we launched several Salary Checkers, based on the Dutch dataset plus PPP. Slowly some national teams in European countries reach the conclusion that they want Salary Checkers without PPP, purely based on their own labour market. This means that we will build in the coming months new, original Salary Checkers - provided enough national data are available. Those Salary Checkers will be there only for 6 up to 12 months. By then the Salary Checkers based on the national Wage Indicator servey can be used!

See Salary checkers.
