Sweden - Agreement for crisis situation - April 30, 2026

The ST union, together with other public service unions, has reached an agreement with the Swedish Employers' Agency on what should apply in a peacetime crisis situation. The agreed terms are to ensure staffing of socially important functions in a crisis. Employees within the state have socially important functions that must also function in crises. There have been previous agreements regulating what applies in times of war and preparedness, but this is the first comprehensive collective agreement that applies to working hours for state employees in a crisis situation in peacetime.
