Romania - New collective agreement for radio broadcaster - April 30, 2026

On 29 April 2026, the CulturMedia trade union federation announced that a new collective agreement had been signed with public radio broadcaster Societatea Română de Radiodifuziune. The union said the agreement ended two years in which employees had lacked this “fundamental document”. The new agreement strengthens existing rights and introduces new provisions, including stronger protection against dismissals through compensation payments, a future retirement package of three average salaries, higher minimum and maximum wage indices, additional leave days for some professional categories, extended provisions on occupational protection and safety, regulation of homeworking and telework, and private health insurance for employees who agree to it.
