Portugal - Metro closed due to strike - April 30, 2026

The Lisbon Metro was closed on 9 April, due to a 24-hour strike by workers. The Federation of Transport and Communications Unions (FECTRANS) said that the strike was justified by non-compliance with agreements signed in 2019, particularly regarding training and work organisation, and denied that salary increases are at stake.
