Turkey - One-day work stoppage by public sector workers - December 31, 2025
Unions affiliated with the United Public Workers Confederation (Birleşik Kamu-İş) announced a work stoppage on 19 December, describing it as a response to policies that ‘impoverish’ workers and to demands for a living wage and fair distribution. The statement connected wage concerns to broader labour‑rights debates and positioned the action as a form of collective pressure when negotiations are seen as ineffective.
