Turkey - Minimum wage up 27% in 2026 - December 31, 2025
Following the work of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, the new minimum wage for 2026, effective from January, was announced by the Minister of Labour and Social Security. The new amount of 28,075 Turkish Lira (€ 556) represents a 27% increase. Türk-Iş union confederation stayed out of the 2026 minimum wage negotiations, arguing that wage-setting should be guided by economic indicators rather than changes to the commission's membership structure.
