Switzerland - New early retirement scheme in building technology sector - December 31, 2025
The social partners of the national collective agreement for building technology – the employers' association suissetec and the trade unions Unia and Syna – have signed a groundbreaking agreement: Starting in 2027, a new early retirement scheme will be introduced in the sector. Employees aged 60 and over with at least 15 years of industry experience can retire early and receive a bridging pension until they reach retirement age. This new scheme will benefit approximately 24,000 employees in the plumbing, building envelope, sanitary installation, heating, air conditioning and ventilation, and solar panel installation sectors.
