Greece - Action plan to promote collective bargaining adopted - December 31, 2025
O17 December, the Minister of Labour ratified the Action Plan for the Promotion of Collective Bargaining 2026–2030. The Action Plan essentially builds upon the tripartite National Social Agreement of 24 November 2025, which as we reported in our November Newsletter, represents a major step in restoring collective bargaining in Greece. The Action Plan provides for a roadmap to restore collective bargaining through to 2030. It includes concrete measures to strengthen sectoral bargaining such as facilitating the extension of collective agreements, reinstating the full protection of employees after the expiry of collective agreements until a new collective agreement is concluded and speeding up conciliation procedures. The action plan also includes measures concerning the collection of data on collective bargaining, conducting research and producing reports regarding sectoral collective bargaining.
