Germany - 9% pay rise for building equipment workers - November 30, 2025
The IG Metall Coast union has reached a new collective agreement with the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association of Technical Building Equipment. The approximately 1,800 employees can look forward to a significant pay increase: wages will rise in three stages by a total of 9%, starting 1 November 2025. The increases at a glance: from 1 November 2025, 3.5%; from 1 August 2026, 3.5%; from 1 May 2027, 2%. In addition, all employees subject to social security contributions will receive a one-off payment of €150 gross, which will be paid with the December payroll. Apprenticeship allowances will go up to €1,200 in the 4th year. The new collective agreement is valid until 31 December 2027.
