France - Negotiations between unions and employers get off to a bad start - December 31, 2025
Unions and the CPME (Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) met on 3 December to launch discussions on the negotiated termination agreement and short-term contracts. The absence of the Medef (Movement of French Enterprises) and the U2P (Union of Proximity Businesses) and the employers' demand for € 1 billion in savings irritated employee organizations. The invitation had been extended by the CFDT union.
