March 2025 - Spain - Labour Inspectors Accuse Glovo of Failing to Comply with Court Rulings on Employment Practices

Five labour inspectors from Badajoz, Cantabria, Salamanca and Oviedo appeared before the 31st Juzgado de Instrucción in Barcelona and stated that Glovo had failed to comply with court rulings.

Pierre's defence argued that Glovo had never disregarded court orders and judgments regarding its employment relationship with riders, and that it had changed its business model to comply with them.

The key for the judge to decide whether or not to send the case to trial will be the existence of sufficient evidence to be that Glovo maintained her working model of false self-employed after the Supreme Court declared it illegal in 2020.
