February 2024 - Brazil - Federal Supreme Court rules in favour of standardising the relationship between platforms and workers

The first Federal Court ruling on the possibility of standardising the relationship between platforms and employees is in favour of such a practice.

If all ministers accept the same thesis, an emblematic case to be decided by the court will serve as a guide for all instances across the country.

The rapporteur believes that there are different decisions in the Brazilian judiciary - some in favour, some against - and that there is therefore a need to standardise understandings.
