Minimum Wage Updated in Nicaragua from 01 March 2026 - March 11, 2026
Minimum wages have been revised in Nicaragua as of 01 March 2026. The minimum wages are increased for the following sectors:
- Agriculture, forestry and fishing;
- Fishing;
- Mines and Quarries;
- Manufacturing;
- Micro and small domestic craft and tourism industry;
- Electricity and water; Trade, Restaurants and Hotels, Transport, Storage and Communications;
- Construction, financial institutions and insurance;
- Social and Personal Community Services (incl domestic workers); and
- Central Government and Municipal.
The minimum wage for the free trade zone has been raised by 6.7% and is applicable from 1 January 2026. The revised notification was issued on 5 March 2026.
