Minimum Wage Revised in the United Kingdom from 01 April 2026 - April 02, 2026
The minimum wages have been revised in the United Kingdom, with effect from 1 April 2026. The new national minimum and living wage rates are increased as follows:
- For adult rate: 23 years and older (national living wage, NLW), from £12.21 to £12.71 per hour;
- For development rate: 18-20 years, from £10.00 to £10.85 per hour;
- For youth rate: under 18 years, from £7.55 to £8.00 per hour; and
- For apprentices' rates: under 19 years or in the first year of training, from £7.55 to £8.00 per hour.
