Spain - First national textile retail agreement - March 31, 2026
Employer association ARTE — representing major fashion companies such as Inditex and Mango — and trade unions CC OO and Fetico reached a preliminary agreement on the first nationwide collective agreement for the textile retail sector. The deal, affecting around 200,000 workers, aims to harmonise wages and working conditions across more than 50 provincial agreements. It establishes a minimum base salary of € 18,000 per year, introduces gradual working-time reductions, and improves rest periods. However, not all unions supported the deal, with UGT criticising the lack of consensus.
