Slovakia - Social partners demand respect for social dialogue - March 31, 2026

At the plenary session of the Economic and Social Council representatives of employees, employers, and cities and municipalities jointly appealed to the Government to respect the rules of social dialogue and good legislative practice when preparing the public administration budget. Their goal is to achieve a transparent and professionally managed process in which partners will have sufficient time for substantive discussion before the final approval of the changes. Past experience confirms that timely disclosure of documents increases the quality of the steps taken and helps minimize negative economic and societal impacts.
