Netherlands - Employers reject agreement in construction - January 31, 2026
Although union members voted in favour of the new collective agreement for the finishing industry in construction, agreed upon in December 2025, the employers’ association NOA did not agree. As a consequence, there is not yet a new collective agreement. Employers are particularly concerned about the agreed-upon senior workers benefits and therefore want to reopen negotiations. However, FNV union refuses to do this.
