WageIndicator Side Session During the OECD Forum 2026
WageIndicator Foundation will host a side session during the “OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector” in 2026. Our side session “Data-Driven Organising in Indonesia’s Garment Sector - From Compliance to Change” will take place on February 10th 2026. During the session we will explore practical ways for brands, suppliers, trade unions, and governments to co-own responsibility for turning insights into outcomes especially for meaningful due diligence. We will also share the lessons learned and hope to inspire a shift by the end of the session: from compliance exercises to worker-driven change that truly transforms factory floors.

What can you expect from the side session
Over the past decade, we have built one of the most comprehensive worker-driven evidence databases on Indonesia’s garment sector. During our side session “Data-Driven Organising in Indonesia’s Garment Sector - From Compliance to Change” we will share the insights and learnings we have gathered through this project.
Attendees will receive an overview of the data tools and processes employed and how they can be adapted to other contexts. During the session we will also demonstrate how the local trade union leveraged data not only for advocacy but also to strengthen organising processes among workers.
