Breastfeeding
Female workers are entitled to two paid nursing breaks, each of 30-minute duration, for new mothers to breastfeed their child(ren) until a child is twelve (12) months old. The breastfeeding/nursing breaks are in addition to the regular breaks an employee receives during the working day. The exact timing of breastfeeding/nursing breaks is agreed between the mother and the employer.
Labour Law also requires the employer to establish a childcare facility in an enterprise if the total number of female workers is more than 100. The conditions of establishment of a day care facility are determined by a decision of the competent Minister. If an establishment is not able to provide a child care facility, female workers may place their child(ren) in any day care, and the employer has to pay the dues.
