No provision could be located in law regarding paternity leave in the private sector. However, under the revised Public Service Rules 2021, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved a 14-working-day paternity leave for male federal civil servants but not more than once in 2 years for a maximum of 4 children.

No provision could be located in the law to create flexible work option for parents in order to create work-life balance.
