National Living Wage in UK rises to £8.21 - May 16, 2019

UK Government has announced new rates of National Living Wage (NLW) and National Minimum Wage (NMW). The New rates came into effect from April 1, 2019 and will affect 2.4 million workers. 

From April 2019, National Living Wage for workers aged 25+ has been increased from £7.83 to £8.21 per hour.

National minimum wage for  workers aged 21–24 will be £7.70 per hour; those aged 18–20 will get  £6.15 per hour;  aged between 16–18 will get £4.35 per hour and apprentice rate will be £3.90 per hour.
