  1. Minimum wage rates shall apply only where sectoral Wage Regulation Orders do not apply. Sectoral Wage Regulation Orders take precedence over these rates.
  2. It is also important to note that the national minimum wage of part-time employees shall be calculated pro rata at the same hourly rate of comparable full-time employees as applicable in accordance with the minimum wage of the of the relevant Wage Regulation Order, or in cases where a Wage Regulation Order is not applicable, at an hourly rate not below the national standard minimum wage applicable divided by forty.
  3. The weekly working time in Maltese companies and organisations is 40 hours per week
