Platform workers in 6 countries and the labour law

Non-standard employment is an umbrella term for different employment arrangements that deviate from standard employment. It includes temporary employment; part-time and on-call work; temporary agency work and other multiparty employment relationships; as well as disguised employment and dependent self-employment. Most of the employment in the platform economy is non-standard employment. WageIndicator Foundation, under its "Platform Workers: Decent Rights & Pay" Project,  raises awareness on workplace rights of platform workers. The Project covers six countries, namely the Netherlands, India, South Africa, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The topics covered are Work and Wages, Compensation, Employment Security, Occupational Safety and Health, Social Security, Fair Treatment and Trade Union rights.
