SIGNED\nTODAY ON 23th JUNE 2014.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>PREAMBLE\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Workers Committee of Kabuye Sugar Works Ltd raised few issues relating to\nSalary increase, Food subsidy increase and the medical insurance to be extended\nto the whole family members. The previous memorandum of settlement signed on\n4th August 2011 is valid up to 30the June 2014. The issues raised by the\nCommittee in their Letters dated 7\u002F2\u002F2014; 20\u002F02\u002F2014, were discussed by both\nparties in the meetings of 13\u002F02\u002F2014 &amp;13\u002F03\u002F2014 and finally concluded in\nthe meeting held on 23\u002F06\u002F2014. Details of the issues agreed to are as\nunder:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>1. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Both management and workers committee have agreed that there is lot of scope\nfor improving the productivity of the factory and committed to work for the\nsame by adopting reducing waste, cost reduction, merging the jobs and multi\nskilling.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>2. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-wageincreaseperc1\">\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-STRUCINCR_trigger\">\u003Cp>Management has agreed to increase the salaries of all staff and workers by\n21 % with effect from 01-07-2014. Increase applies to basic pay and special\nallowances.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>3. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is agreed by both parties that the annual increment period is changed to\n1st July of every year instead of 1st May from 2014 onwards. Annual increment\nof 4% will be given to eligible employee for year 2013-2014.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>4. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight focus\" id=\"clause-wageincreasefirmperformance\">\u003Cp>Effective 1st July 2015 increments will be granted based on an appraisal\nsystem. The management decision in this regard is final.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>5. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-MEALALL_trigger\">\u003Cp>It is agreed to increase food subsidy as follows:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>o From 1st July 2014 : 500\u002FRwf per day for the days present,\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>o From 1st July 2015 : 550\u002FRwf per day for the days present,\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>o From 1st July 2016 : 600\u002FRwf per day for the days present.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>The agreement now signed is in full and final settlement of all the demands\nraised and discussed. Any other issue that is not specifically settled in this\nsettlement, workers will have their rights as per Labour Code. Settlement is\nvalid for a period of three years with effect from 01.07.2014 and is applicable\nfor all the regular staff and workers on the payrolls of factory as on\n01\u002F07\u002F2014.
