Kasur (Regd.),\nthe Collective Bargaining Agent (hereinafter called ‘C.B.A’ of Unilever\nPakistan Foods Ltd. submitted the Charter of Demands (Annexure A) vide their\nletter No. Nil dated April 15th, 2014 to Unilever Pakistan Foods Ltd. (Formerly\nRafhan Best Foods Ltd.) (hereinafter called the ‘Company’).\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>A series of meetings were held between the representatives nominated by the\nC.B.A and the company for bilateral negotiations and collective bargaining.\nFinally, the following agreement has been arrived at in full and final\nsettlement of the above Charter of Demand which shall remain binding on both\nthe parties w.e.f. 1st April, 2014 to 31st March, 2016 for a period of two\nyears.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>1. ANNUAL INCREMENTS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-STRUCINCR_trigger\">\u003Cp>In view of the rise in cost of living, the company agrees to pay to its\npermanent factory staff an increase in basic salary as under w.e.f. 1st April,\n2014.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>For permanent factory staff appointed on or before December 14th, 2011 Rs.\n900\u002F-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>For permanent factory staff appointed on or after December 15th, 2011 Rs.\n1590\u002F-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company also agreed to pay to the Permanent Factory Staff a further\nincrease in basic salary as under w.e.f. 1st April, 2015.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>For Permanent Factory Staff appointed on or before December 14th, 2011 Rs.\n900\u002F-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>For Permanent Factory Staff appointed on or after December 1th, 2011 Rs.\n1590\u002F-\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>2. SPECIAL ALLOWANCES\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-ONCERISE2_trigger\">\u003Cp>This has also been agreed that an Allowance will be given to the Factory\nStaff who were hired after December 15th, 2011 as “Special Allowance 2014”.\nThe Allowance will be paid as follows;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>From April 01, 2014 to March 31, 2015 @ Rs. 1680\u002F- p.m.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>From April 01, 2015 to March 31, 2016 allowance will be increased to Rs.\n2880\u002F- p.m.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>From April 01, 2016 to March 31, 2017 allowance will be further increased to\nRs. 4080\u002F- p.m.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>From April 01, 2017 to March 31, 2018 allowance will be increased to Rs.\n5280\u002F- p.m.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>No further increase will be given after that. It is also decided that it\nwill never be discussed again in any charter of demand meeting. This allowance\nwill have direct or indirect on any other competent of wage for all intents and\npurposes.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>3. PROMOTION\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Promotions is a management prerogative, however, it is agreed that\nrepresentatives of Management and C.B.A will sit to finalize a procedure and\ncriteria for Promotions of Permanent Factory Staff.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>4. ANNUAL BONUS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-ONCERISE_trigger\">\u003Cp>It is also agreed to pay 11 Bonuses under 10C to all permanent factory staff\nemployed in the factory on date of execution of this settlement. The bonuses\nare agreed to be paid for the period 1st April, 2014 to 31st March, 2016. The\nnet entitlement of bonus per worker is 11 agreemental bonuses and 1 bonus under\nsection 10C per annum subject to profit earning of company and will be paid in\naddition to the 11 bonuses agreed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The above bonuses will be payable to Permanent Factory Staff who are in the\nemployment of the company on the date of signing of this settlement, however,\nthe Permanent Factory Staffs who have joined company’s service on or after\n1st April 2014 shall be entitled to these bonuses on pro-rata basis as detailed\nin their appointment letter.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>BONUSES CALCULATIONS\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>11 Bonuses: Basic + Cola 205 + 18% indexation\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>1 Bonus under section 10C Bonus (Profit Based): Basic + Cola 205 + 18%\nindexation + Cola 93 + Cola 94 + Cola 97\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>5. HAJJ, NON-MUSLIMS RELIGIOUS ZIARAT\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is decided that for 2014 total number of 2 (two) Permanent Factory Staff\nwill perform Hajj and for 2015 total number of 3 (three) Permanent Factory\nStaff will perform Hajj. Company will bear the Expense of their Medical and\nPassport if any. Management will also give Rs. 1,000\u002F- Saudi Riyals as loan\nwhich will be returned from Annual Bonus.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>They have to provide proof of such ziarats to the satisfaction of company.\nThe person will be chosen through balloting and he will be entitled for 40 days\nleaves with pay. A person who has once been selected for this purpose through\nthe company balloting process and has availed the facility shall not be\neligible for the future balloting.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>6. MONTHLY POD\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is decided that an amount of PKR 1,200\u002F- in lieu of POD will be added as\nspecial “POD Allowance” and existing POD system will be discontinued and\ndemand for POD in kind will never be raised in future. The change will be\nimplemented when supply of POD in kind is stopped and amount becomes payable\nwhich will be paid in monthly salary.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>7. OVERTIME\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-OVERTIME_trigger\">\u003Cp>It is decided that management will check the formula of Overtime and will\nimplement the change.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>8. ANNUAL LEAVES\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-PAIDLEAV_trigger\">\u003Cp>It is decided that the number of Annual Leave will be increased to 25\ncalendar days.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>9. COMPUTER ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is decided that Computer Allowance will be Rs. 500\u002F- and eligibility will\nremain same as of previous charter\u002Fpractice i.e. spending at leave 75% of their\ntime on the computer.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>10. EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-educationtuition\">\u003Cp>The company agrees to grant 15 scholarships to the children of Permanent\nFactory Staff of the company which will be allowed as per following amount.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>a) Matric Rs. 500\u002F- per month plus Rs. 300\u002F- on securing 60% or more\nmarks.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b) Intermediate Rs. 550\u002F- per month plus Rs. 300\u002F- on securing 60% or more\nmarks.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>c) Graduation Rs. 600\u002F- per month plus Rs. 300\u002F- on securing 60% or more\nmarks.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>d) Post Graduate Rs. 650\u002F- per month plus Rs. 300\u002F- on securing 60% or more\nmarks.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>11. PROVIDENT FUND STATEMENT\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-pensionfund\">\u003Cp>Provident Fund annual statement will be provided to Permanent Factory Staff\nafter audit of Provident Fund Accounts.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>12. RECREATION \u002F PASSAGE ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is agreed that Passage Allowance for Permanent Factory Staff will be paid\nan allowance which will be inclusive of (basic salary, COLAS and 18%\nindexation) x 1.07. However, it will be admissible up to 10 (ten) absences\nduring the year.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>13. BREAKFAST\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-mealvouchers\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed that breakfast will be provided to:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>i) Shift “A” at arrival (6:00 a.m.)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>ii) Shift “C” at departure (6:00 a.m.) only for declared chronic\ndiseases Permanent Factory Staffs on recommendation of Company doctor.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>14. REFRESHMENTS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is decided that a 1 (one) ticki pack will be added with the tea in\n“B” shift and 1 (one) half roll biscuit for “C” shift.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>15. NIGHT \u002F EVENING ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-NOCTPREM_trigger\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed to pay an evening shift allowance of Rs. 35\u002F- and night\nshift allowance Rs. 67\u002F- per shift.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>16. WHEAT ADVANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It has been agreed that Government applicable price will be final for\nadvancing loan to Permanent Factory Staff, for buying 25 mounts of wheat. This\namount will be deducted from Permanent Factory Staff’s salary every month in\n12 equal installments without any interest.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>17. COMPANY LOAN FUND\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It has been agreed that the company will provide total company loan fund of\nRs. 150,000\u002F- (Rupees one hundred fifty thousand only). To be eligible for such\nloan, the individual must be a permanent factory staff of the company for 3\nyears. The loan will be paid back to the company in thirty equal installments\nwith 9% interest.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>18. HOUSE BUILDING\u002FMOTORCYCLE\u002FCOMPUTER LOAN\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is agreed that total amount of Rs. 2,500,000\u002F- will be available for\npermanent factory staff as House Building Loan with maximum loan of Rs.\n80,000\u002F- per permanent factory staff without any interest. The loan will be\nreturned in sixty equal installments (50% deduction from salary + 50% from\nbonus). To be eligible for such a loan, the individual must be a permanent\nfactory staff of the company for 03 years and the registry of the property must\nbe valid. The above facility will also be available for purchase of motorcycle\n&amp; computer, however, an employee can exercise this option only once for\nhouse building, motorcycle or computer.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>19. COLAS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>No change in existing practices. Follow law of the land.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>20. TOP GRADE WORKERS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Company will encourage the Permanent Factory Staff to apply for management\npositions through company’s Open Job Positing and follow the company’s\nrecruitment process.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>21. LONG SERVICE AWARD\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-SENIOR_trigger\">\u003Cp>The Management agrees to give the following Service Award to Permanent\nFactory Staff on completion of their respective service periods:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ctable border=\"1\" style=\"width: 100%\">\n  \u003Ccaption>\u003C\u002Fcaption>\n  \u003Ccolgroup>\u003Ccol>\n  \u003Ccol>\n  \u003C\u002Fcolgroup>\u003Ctbody>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>Service Period\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Award\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>10 Years\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 7,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>15 Years\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 14,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>20 Years\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 16,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>25 Years\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 18,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\u003C\u002Ftr>\u003C\u002Ftbody>\u003C\u002Ftable>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003Ctable border=\"1\" style=\"width: 100%\">\u003Ctbody>\u003Ctr>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n  \u003C\u002Ftbody>\n\u003C\u002Ftable>\n\n\u003Ch2>22. CONVEYANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-COMMUTE_trigger\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed that the company will provide conveyance to Permanent\nFactory Staff travelling from Lahore during the regular shift. It is expected\nthat not more than 13 Factory Staffs will avail this facility. In case the\nnumber increase, C.B.A will inform the company accordingly well in advance in\norder that the appropriate conveyance can be arranged. It has been further\nagreed that factory management and C.B.A wills it together and optimize the\nroute for existing transport facility to accommodate patoki as well in the\nexisting route throughout the shifts. It will be insured that the cost remains\nwithin the budgeted amount. It is also decided that amount of conveyance\nallowance is to be PKR. 500\u002F-.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>23. SPORTS FOR FITNESS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Sports Facility will be provided as agreed in the last agreement dated 23rd\nJune, 2011.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>24. BURIAL EXPENSES\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight focus\" id=\"clause-funeralpay\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed that the company will pay Rs. 35,000\u002F- (Rupees\nThirty-five thousand only) as funeral expenses on the death of a Permanent\nFactory Staff to the widow of Permanent Factory Staff and if the widow is not\nsurviving to the legal eldest child of Permanent Factory Staff.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>25. PICNIC\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>One Picnic for the year will be held for Permanent Factory Staff with mutual\nunderstanding of C.B.A.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>26. MARRIAGE ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It has been agreed to pay to Factory Staff an amount of Rs. 12,000\u002F- (Rupees\nTwelve thousand only) on marriage as ex-gratia for marriage of self, daughter\nand dependent sister. A Factory Staff can have maximum of 02 cases per annum.\nIn total, there can only be a maximum of 08 such double cases in a calendar\nyear. It has also been agreed that claims will be disposed-off on monthly\nbasis. In case a Factory Staff is left out of the double case during the\ncalendar year due to the completion of double cases, the individual will have\nthe right to apply out of the quota of the next year. To be eligible for this\nallowance the individual must be a Permanent Factory Staff of the company for\n02 years. In all 17 single cases or 8 double cases and one Single case will be\nentertained in each calendar year.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>27. MEDICAL FACILITY\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-healthcareaccess\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed that medical facility will be continued as per previous\npractice for those three Permanent Factory Staffs who are not covered under\nsocial security scheme.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>These Permanent Factory Staff will be paid allowance of 07% basic salary +\nCOLAS + 18% indexation + House Rent + Conveyance allowance + Special allowance\n(Rs. 450\u002F-).
