Sahiwal Factory, has served a “Charter of\nDemand” upon the management under cover of its letter dated 10th October,\n2012 for review and revision of certain existing terms and conditions of\nemployment.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>AND WHEREAS, negotiations were held between C.B.A nominated bargaining\ncommittee and the Management on the said charter of demands, which were\nextended from time to time with mutual consent to enable the parties to arrive\nat an amicable settlement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>AND WHEREAS, the Company maintains that existing wages, allowances and other\nterms and conditions of employment of its permanent workers compares favorably\nwith other comparable industrial in the area.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>AND WHEREAS, the C.B.A recognized and appreciated the need for improving\nlabor productivity, reducing wastages, absenteeism, maintaining the discipline\nand industrial peace, assured the Company of its fullest co-operation and\nsupport in implementing effective measures for improving productivity\nperformance and company policies, yet it demanded increase in wages and\nimprovement in other terms and conditions of employment of permanent workers to\nprovide them relief against the rise in the cost of living.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>AND WHEREAS, the parties hereto arrived at the settlement, in the course of\nbargaining on the terms and conditions hereinafter appearing in this memorandum\nof settlement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>NOW THEREFORE, the following has been agreed between the parties hereto:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>3. TERMS OF AGREEMENT\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>3.1OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>a) The Company offers improvement in allowances and other terms and\nconditions of employment of its permanent workers as specified in this\nsettlement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b) The C.B.A accepts the offers made by the Company as set out in this\nSettlement and withdrawn all other demands made vide charter of demands\nsubmitted under cover of its letter dated 10th October 2012, in consideration\nof an overall settlement of its demands, assures the company of its fullest\ncooperation and undertake not to make any demand of financial nature or\notherwise or raise any fresh demand on matters covered by the terms of this\nsettlement during its operative period.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>1. The basic salary will be 65% of total gross\n        salary. It is understood that ensuring quality and safe working practices\nwould fall within the purview of job responsibilities of workers and to utilize\nthe workforce at the optimum.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>c) Use of personal protective equipment (PPEs) such as ear plugs, safety\nshoes and uniform is mandatory. Workers are bound to keep the PPEs in safe\ncustody in available lockers provided by the Company. They are not allowed to\ncarry these PPEs outside the factory.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>d) Similarly, issuance of work permit and use of proper tools would be\nmandatory as per requirement of the job. Non observance of safety parameters\nwould make liable for strict disciplinary actions as per law.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>e) C.B.A will fully ensure commitment &amp; dedication to achieve monthly\nperformance targets including but not limited to Production, Safety, Quality\nand Cost.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>f) Cell phones are strictly prohibited to use in the factory premises except\ncanteen and can be used only during lunch\u002Ftea breaks.
