BASIC PAY, HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE AND CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Keeping in view and the rise in cost of living, all workers on payroll as on\nthe date of signing of this Agreement will be given an increase in their Basic\nPay, House Rent Allowance and Conveyance Allowance w.e.f. 01-01-2013 or date of\njoining as the case my be, as per details given below:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight focus\" id=\"clause-STRUCINCR_trigger\">\u003Cp>a. HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>From Rs. 1,300\u002F- to Rs. 1,725\u002F- (increase of Rs. 425\u002F-)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-COMMUTE_trigger\">\u003Cp>c. CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>From Rs. 570\u002F- to Rs. 995\u002F- (increase of Rs. 425\u002F-)\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>It is further agreed that this would be a onetime increase and C.B.A\u002FWorkers\nshall neither demand nor quote as precedence in future.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>2. SPECIAL UP-COUNTRY DAILY ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>a. (Up-Country Deliverymen only – with night stay)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give Up-Country Deliverymen a Special Up-Country Daily\nAllowance and the same will be paid at the flat rate of Rs. 215\u002F- (Rs. Two\nhundred fifteen only) instead of Rs. 185\u002F- (Rs. One hundred eighty-five only)\nper actual days worked, when according to the tour program an over-night stay\nat the town from their head-quarters\u002Fbase town is involved.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b. (Up-Country Drivers only – with night stay)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give to Up-Country Drivers a Special Up-Country Daily\nAllowance and the same will be paid at the flat rate of Rs. 215\u002F- (Rs. Two\nhundred fifteen only) instead of Rs. 170\u002F- (Rs. One hundred seventy only) per\nactual days worked, when according to the tour program an over-night stay at\nthe town away from their head-quarters\u002Fbase town is involved.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>c. (Up-Country Deliverymen and Drivers only – without night stay)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give to Up-Country Deliverymen and Up-Country Drivers a\nspecial Up-Country Daily Travelling Allowance and the same will be paid at the\nflat rate of Rs. 170\u002F- (Rs. One hundred seventy only) instead of Rs. 140\u002F- (Rs.\nOne hundred forty only) per actual days worked, when according to the tour\nprogram they are not required to make an over-night stay.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>d. (Marketing Allowance – Local Deliverymen and Drivers only)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give Local Deliverymen and Drivers a Local Daily Allowance\nand the same will be paid at the flat rate of Rs. 365\u002F- (Rs. Three hundred\nsixty-five only) instead of Rs. 325\u002F- (Rs. Three hundred twenty-five only) per\nmonth on actual days worked.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>e. It is also agreed that in addition to above an amount of Rs. 150\u002F- (Rs.\nOne hundred fifty only) instead of Rs. 140\u002F- (Rs. One hundred forty only) per\ndays worked will also be paid to local driver and delivery man, who make market\ndeliveries within the town of posting, provided that the one-way distance to\nthe furthest market outlet, covered from the base depot to the market exceeds\n25 km.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>3. LATE WORKING ALLOWANCES\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>a. (Local Deliverymen and Drivers only)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give to Local Deliverymen and Drivers a Late Working\nAllowance for working late after normal hours to complete the work assigned to\nthem for the day and the same will be paid at the flat rate of Rs. 750\u002F- (Rs.\nSeven hundred fifty only) per month, instead of Rs. 660\u002F- (Rs. Six hundred\nsixty only) per month.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>With this payment, the Union and\u002For the workers concerned will have no\nfurther right to claim any additional payment whatsoever for working late after\nnormal working hours.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Deliverymen and Drivers will ensure that the work assigned to them for\nthe day is completed without fail.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b. i. (Up-Country Deliverymen only)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give to Up-Country Deliverymen a Late Working Allowance and\nthe same will be paid at the flat of Rs. 500\u002F- (Rs. Five hundred only) per\nmonth, instead of Rs. 450\u002F- (Rs. Four hundred fifty only) per month.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>With the payment, the Union the\u002For the workers concerned will have no\nfurther right to claim any additional payment whatsoever for working late after\nnormal working hours.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Deliverymen shall ensure that the work assigned to them as per scheduled\nin completed without fail.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>ii. (Up-Country Drivers only)\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will give to Up-Country Drivers a Late Working Allowance and the\nsame will be paid the flat rate of Rs. 400\u002F- (Rs. Four hundred only) per month\ninstead of Rs. 360\u002F- (Rs. Three hundred sixty only) per month.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>With this payment, the union and\u002For the workers concerned will have no\nfurther right to claim any additional payment whatsoever for late after normal\nworking hours.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Drivers will ensure that the work assigned to them as per schedule is\ncompleted without fail.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>c. This Late Working Allowance is payable on the basis of actual days worked\nby the concerned staff and will not be paid in case of absence from duty for\nany reason i.e. Casual Leave, Sick Leave, Privilege Leave and Leave without Pay\netc.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>4. OVERTIME ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-OVERTIME_trigger\">\u003Cp>It is mutually agreed that if a worker is called upon to work overtime on\nany festival holiday or weekly holiday as notified in the Gazette, he will be\npaid Rs. 100\u002F- (Rs. One hundred only) instead of Rs. 85\u002F- in addition to the\novertime payable to him.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>5. ACCIDENTAL INSURANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-disabilitypay\">\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-healthinsurance\">\u003Cp>It is mutually agreed that Deliverymen and Drivers will continue to be\ncovered under an Accidental Insurance Policy for an amount of Rs. 45,000\u002F- (Rs.\nForty-five thousand only) instead of Rs. 40,000\u002F- (Rs. Forty thousand only)\neach in case of death of covered worker due to accident arising out of and in\nthe course of employment.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>6. UNIFORMS, SHOES\u002FSOCKS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-healthandsafetypolicy\">\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-protectiveclothing\">\u003Cp>a. UNIFORMS\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will continue to provide two pairs of summer uniforms and two\npairs of winter uniforms consisting of shalwar and kameez every year to all the\nconfirmed Deliverymen, Drivers, Packers, Peons, Gate Keepers, Chowkidars and\npermanent Sweepers.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>It is further agreed that the cost per summer and winter uniform will not\nexceed Rs. 650\u002F- (Rs. Six hundred fifty only) per set instead of Rs. 540\u002F- (Rs.\nFive hundred forty only). The total cost of four sets of uniforms will not\nexceed Rs. 2,600\u002F- (Rs. Two thousand six hundred only) in a year.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>It is also agreed that the Company will arrange supply of stitched uniforms\nto the eligible workers through the Depots. The cost of clock and the stitching\netc. will in no case increase from the above mentioned limit of summer and\nwinter uniforms.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>One Representative of Union (C.B.A) will accompany with the Depot Manager\nfor selection of cloth.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b. SHOES &amp; SOCKS\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will continue to pay a sum of Rs. 450\u002F- (Rs. Four hundred fifty\nonly) instead of Rs. 430\u002F- per annum, in lieu of shoes and socks to those\nworkers who are entitled to uniforms.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>If, worker\u002Fworkers who have been provided with the uniform and have also\nbeen paid agreed amount for shoes and socks, report for duty without wearing\nthe current uniform, the concerned Manager\u002FIncharge will have the discretion to\nrefuse to take him\u002Fthem on duty such days.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>7. WASHING ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The Company will continue the existing arrangement for getting the uniforms\nwashed at the Head Office, Karachi. At other Establishments, the Company will\npay Rs. 280\u002F- (Rs. Two hundred eighty only) per month instead of Rs. 245\u002F- (Rs.\nTwo hundred forty-five only) per month as Washing Allowance to those workers\nwho are entitled to uniforms.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>8. GRATUITY\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-ONCERISE_trigger\">\u003Cp>The Company will continue to pay gratuity for 30 days in accordance with the\nModified Gratuity Scheme, dated: 11-04-1973. It is further agreed that the\nlimit of maximum days of entitlement to the payment of gratuity will be 432\ndays instead of 425 days.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>9. LOAN FOR MOTORCYCLE\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>a.The Company will grant loan for the purchase of new motorcycle to Eighteen\n(18) permanent workers every year to the extent of Rs. 40,000\u002F- (Rs. Forty\nthousand only). The Union and the Company will select (18) workers entitled to\nthis loan. The concerned workers must have minimum of ten years of continuous\nservice to be entitled to this facility. The loan will be deducted in 40\nmonthly equal installments. The Road Tax, Insurance Maintenance Charges, etc.\nwill be borne by the concerned worker. The motorcycle will be registered in the\nname of the Company till the loan is repaid in full by the worker. The Company\nwill disburse the loan of Rs. 40,000\u002F- (Rs. Forty thousand only) after selected\nworker has deposited the balance amount required to purchase a new motorcycle a\nworker will be eligible to the motorcycle loan only once in service. Unpaid\nloan amount shall be adjusted against his legal dues in case of retirement,\ntermination of service, dismissal or death.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b. LOAN IN LIEU OF MOTORCYCLE\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>If a selected worker requested in writing to allow him to utilize Rs.\n40,000\u002F- (Rs. Forty Thousand only) for any other purpose, instead of purchasing\nmotorcycle, he will be paid Rs. 40,000\u002F- (Rs. Forty thousand only) as loan on\nthe same terms and conditions for payments as mentioned in Clause-9(a),\nprovided he has no outstanding loan from Provident Fund. The Provident Fund of\nsuch worker will be treated as a security for such loan and the worker opting\nfor this facility will not be entitled to obtain any other loan from the\nProvident Fund during the period such loan is outstanding. In case such worker\ninsists on loan from Provident Fund, the loan from Provident Fund would be\ngranted only after the balance amount of the loan granted under the provision\nof this article is repaid.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Such worker will not be granted any other loan from the Company till the\namount of Rs. 40,000\u002F- is fully paid by him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The workers will be required to execute an agreement and\u002For surety bond as\nper requirement of the Company from time to time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>This loan will be given to a worker only once during his service. Unpaid\nloan amount shall be adjusted against his legal dues in case of retirement,\ntermination of service, dismissal or death.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>10. INTEREST FREE LOAN OF SMALL AMOUNT\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is mutually agreed that the fund allocated for the interest free small\nloan is Rs. 80,000\u002F- (Rs. Eighty thousand only). The maximum amount of loan to\na worker at a time will not exceed Rs. 4,000\u002F- (Rs. Four thousand only) and\nthis loan will be given only those permanent workers who have completed at\nleast three-years continuous service. The workers who have not completed\nthree-years continuous service are not entitled to avail this facility. This\nloan will be deducted in 10 equal monthly installments. It is also agreed that\nthis loan will be given to a worker only once during the tenure of this\nAgreement i.e. from 01-01-2013 to 31-12-2014.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>11. TRANSFERS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>a. The worker will be entitled to a one-time payment of Rs. 3,800\u002F- (Rs.\nThree thousand eight hundred only) instead of Rs. 3,600\u002F- (Rs. Three thousand\nsix hundred only) when the Company on its own discretion, transfers him form on\ncity to another city.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b. However, it is agreed that workers will not be entitled to this Allowance\nif a transfer is made on their own request.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>12. DURATION OF AGREEMENT\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It is agreed by both the Company and the Union that this Agreement will\nremain in force and biding upon the parties and their successors for a period\nof two-years commencing from 01-01-2013 and ending on 31-12-2014.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>13. EFFECTIVE DATE OF BENEFITS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>All benefits, facilities and terms of employment conferred under the\nagreement will be effective from 01-01-2013, unless and except as specifically\nprovided otherwise.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>14. FINALITY\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>a. It is agreed that the benefits under this Agreement is the total\nfinancial burden taken by the Company during the operative period of this\nAgreement and this Agreement has taken in view the anticipated increase in\nwages, the Cost of Living Allowance, special allowance or otherwise which may\nbe allowed by the Government by any order or law during the operation of this\nAgreement and the same shall be set off against the benefits of this Agreement\nand only the difference, if any, after such set off\u002Fadjustment shall be payable\nto the workers and this condition forms the basis of giving benefits by the\nCompany to the workers under this Agreement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b. This Agreement is in full and final settlement of all the demands raised\nor could have been raised by the Union in the respective Charter of Demands,\ndated 01-01-2013 and\u002For raised during the course of bilateral negotiations. The\ndemands not specifically mentioned in this Agreement but raised in the said\nCharter of Demands and also such demands and\u002For disputes not raised in the said\nCharter of Demands but raised during the course of bilateral negotiations will\nbe deemed to have been settled, satisfied, and\u002For withdrawn.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>c.
