A number of\nmeetings were held between the representative of the Union and the Management\nwith the co-operation of both the parties and the period of notice u\u002Fs 42(1) of\nthe Sindh Industrial Relations Act, 2013 was extended from time to time up 15th\nJanuary, 2015. Finally, both the parties have agreed on the following.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>TERMS OF AGREEMENT\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>1. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight focus\" id=\"clause-STRUCINCR_trigger\">\u003Cp>In full and final settlement of the Charter of Demands 42(1) of the Sindh\nIndustrial Relations Act, 2013 submitted on 7th January 2014, it is mutually\nagreed that the Management will pay to all workers a consolidated sum of Rs.\n240 per month (Rupees Two hundred forty only per month) in their salaries with\neffect from 1st January, 2014 in settlement of their Charter of Demands. This\namount of Rs. 240 per month will be added to the existing Salaries and Wages\nalready defined in the Payroll of Salaries of the workmen.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>2. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Union withdraws the demand of motorbike loans, increase in Eidi and Washing\nallowance consequently there will be no increase in the Eidi and washing\nallowance and the exiting amount will continue, instead the management has\ndecided to give an increase of Rs. ….. per month in Conveyance Allowance.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>3. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Both the parties have agreed that bonus will be paid according to law.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>4. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>Conveyance and Meal paid to unionized staff for performing continuous\novertime of 5 hours in any day will be increased from Rs. 75\u002F- per day to Rs.\n140\u002F- per day (Rs. 90\u002F- for meal and Rs. 50\u002F- for conveyance on actual\nbasis).\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>5. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The management has agreed to increase the emergency loan fund amount from\nRs. 95,000\u002F- per month to Rs. 120,000\u002F- per month. The Employees loan\nentitlement will increase from Rs. 15,000\u002F- to Rs. 20,000\u002F-. Repayment of the\nloan would continue to be made in 12 equal monthly installments. (The monthly\ninstallment amount will increase accordingly).\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>6. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The management will discuss with Corporate Finance to improve the audit\ntimings of the PF account enabling HR to provide the PF statement to employees\ntimely.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>7. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The management has agreed that the employees who are performing special duty\non the request of management during late hours in Ramadan should be provided\nRs. 100\u002F- for Iftari. Those who are performing normal second shift duty will\nnot be entitled for Iftari amount.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>8. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The management has asked the General Secretary to evaluate about the\nfrequency of exists to labor welfare offices, the management will give him\npermission on need basis and facilitate him towards workers welfare scheme of\nGovernment.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>9. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-healthinsurance\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed that the existing health insurance scheme will continue\nand management will follow it for improvement from time to time on need\nbasis.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>10. \u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-OVERTIME_trigger\">\u003Cp>It has been agreed that payment of overtime will be in time.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>11.\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The management is already giving welfare support to needy and deserving\nemployees at their own discretion as such there is no need of setting up some\nwelfare scheme as proposed anyhow on the request of union the management has\nagreed to look into the possibility for setting up a welfare fund for the\ndeserving employees but no timeline has been decided.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>12.\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It has been agreed by both parties that in addition to this settlement other\nfacilities, amenities, privileges, etc. which are in terms of settlements,\nusages, custom and practice shall not be altered and will remain the same and\nwill not be discontinued.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>13.\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The Union undertakes that during the operative period of this settlement it\nshall not raise any financial demands or demands having any financial\nimplications directly or indirectly on the Management. All demands contained in\nthe Charter of Demands dated 7th January, 2014 shall be treated as settled,\ndisposed off, or withdrawn.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>14.\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>This settlement shall come into force with effect form 01 January, 2014 and\nshall remain in force up to 30th June, 2016.
